EHS & Compliance Lead: Safer Operations & Audits

Job summary

DP World Tilburg seeks an experienced EHS professional to oversee compliance with environment, health and safety standards across the site. You will develop and maintain EHS systems, lead audits, inspect facilities, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires coordinating incident investigations, risk assessments, and action plans, and providing guidance to employees and staff representatives. Strong knowledge of Dutch labor laws and ISO standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing EHS management systems and training programs.
• Experience with internal and external audits and compliance standards (ISO45001, ISO14001).
• Familiarity with hazardous substances and regulations (ADR, PGS15, PGS37-2).
• Certification in X-Ray technology (TMS) and emergency response leadership (Head BHV) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems and procedures.
• Act as primary contact for audits and coordinate findings resolution.
• Monitor and update EHS policies to reflect regulatory changes.
• Inspect facilities and equipment for safety and environmental compliance.
• Lead incident investigations and risk assessments; drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on EHS matters.
• Provide guidance to EHS coordinators and prevention officers.
• Represent the company in EHS meetings and regulatory discussions.
• Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and service providers.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
