Job summary

Dsv Air & Sea SAU is looking for a Driver Desk Officer in Venlo who will act as a key communicator between drivers, the warehouse, and security. The role involves ensuring smooth inbound and outbound transport operations, directing drivers to the correct locations, and processing administrative tasks efficiently.

Move forward as Driver Desk Officer at DSV in Venlo

Are you a strong communicator, highly organised, and able to stay calm in a fast‑paced logistics environment? If so, this is your opportunity to become a key link between drivers, the warehouse, and security, ensuring the smooth flow of inbound and outbound transport operations every day.

Within the Dock Planning department you are the first point of contact for drivers, visitors, engineers, and external parties. You ensure that transport movements are efficiently registered and directed, helping the logistics process run smoothly. You will provide a professional and welcoming reception, verify identification documents, and accurately register all relevant information in the appropriate systems. Using reference numbers and planning information, you will direct drivers to the correct loading or unloading location.

In addition, you will be responsible for the accurate administrative processing of all transport movements, including creating reference numbers, processing registrations in systems such as CargoClix and TopDesk, and maintaining close communication with the warehouse, security team, and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, registering, and directing drivers to the correct dock location based on reference numbers.
• Creating and managing reference numbers and supporting drivers with questions or issues relating to their registration.
• Maintaining communication with the warehouse, security team, and other internal departments to ensure efficient loading and unloading operations.

Qualifications

• MBO‑level working and thinking ability, preferably combined with experience in a logistics, administrative, or customer‑focused environment.
• Good command of Dutch and English, enabling you to communicate professionally with drivers, visitors, and colleagues.
• A meticulous approach to work and strong digital skills, including experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and administrative systems such as CargoClix or TopDesk.
