Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Rotterdam is seeking an Administrative Officer Logistics to ensure accurate processing of shipments and smooth administrative handling of transport orders.

Do you enjoy structure, well-defined processes, and administrative work where accuracy is key? Then you will feel right at home in this administrative role. You contribute to a smooth logistics operation by ensuring every shipment is processed accurately and handled with meticulous administrative care: You’re on it.

How you do this? You process warehouse receipts, create shipments, schedule pickups, verify transport documentation, and ensure the complete administrative handling of transport orders. You also manage the shared mailbox, process claims and irregularities, and monitor the progress of inbound unloadings. Together with six colleagues, you are the driving force behind a smooth logistics operation. Every day, you ensure that 50 to 60 shipments are processed accurately and on time. You achieve this by:

• processing warehouse receipts and manually creating shipments in the order management system;
• checking transport documentation and handling irregularities;
• scheduling pickups and arranging the required export documentation;
• registering and handling damage claims while monitoring the progress of unloadings;
• preparing unloading lists and ensuring accurate administrative processing;
• managing the shared mailbox and handling the daily post.

You bring

• MBO-level education and working experience;
• previous experience in administration or customer service, ideally within logistics;
