Job summary

Albert Heijn is seeking a senior data engineer to help build and scale our data platform leveraging Databricks and Kubernetes. You will integrate diverse data sources, design scalable architectures, and contribute to the technical roadmap with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

You will work within the Engineering Enablement ecosystem to automate data pipelines, improve dashboards, and enable product teams to deliver value quickly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering, data warehousing, and software development experience.
• Deep understanding of modern data architectures and scalable solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and cloud-native data solutions.
• Proficient in DBT, Python, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Databricks, Go and SQL.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end develop our data platform built on Databricks & Kubernetes.
• Integrate new data sources (test automation results, deployments, vulnerabilities).
• Develop accurate metrics through automated processes.
• Design and implement a scalable data platform on Azure.
• Collaborate within the enablement community and drive continuous improvement.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, scrapers, automation scripts, and IaC templates.
