Job summary

Albert Heijn is expanding its Engineering Enablement team to build a modern data platform on Databricks, Kubernetes, and Azure. You will contribute to self-service tooling and automated metrics that accelerate engineering teams to deliver value quickly and autonomously.

The role emphasizes cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, and a culture of open-source and inner-sourcing within a large retail tech environment in Zaandam and beyond.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering, data warehousing and software development experience.
• Deep understanding of modern data architectures and scalable solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, building cloud-native data solutions.
• Proficient in DBT, Python, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Databricks, Go and SQL.
• Experience optimizing performance, reliability and cost of data pipelines.
• Experience architecting CI/CD pipelines and IaC templates.
• Thrives in complex, ambiguous environments with proactive problem solving.
• Strong communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end develop our data platform built on Databricks & Kubernetes.
• Integrate new data sources (test automation results, deployments, vulnerabilities).
• Develop accurate metrics through automated processes.
• Contribute to scalable data platform architecture on Azure.
• Be part of the wider enablement community and improve daily.
• Adopt open-source and build-your-own mentality within a corporate setting.
