As a Crew Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating crew schedules across the fleet. Your focus will be to ensure the right people are assigned to the right projects at the right time, while balancing operational requirements, crew availability, and long-term workforce needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage crew planning across assigned disciplines, vessels, and projects.
- Act as the main contact for vessel teams and superintendents on planning matters.
- Resolve short-term scheduling and staffing challenges.
- Identify workforce gaps and support HR and Operations with planning insights.
- Collaborate with Crew Operations, HR, and vessel management to ensure effective workforce planning.
- Work with Operations and Discipline Managers to forecast staffing needs and allocate resources.
- Monitor crew deployment and experience levels across the fleet.
- Support crew development, career progression, and promotion planning.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in workforce planning, crew planning, scheduling, resource coordination, or a similar operational planning role.
- Previous exposure to the maritime, offshore, logistics, transportation, or technical sectors is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate personnel resources effectively while balancing changing business requirements and operational demands.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- A team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to collaboration and stakeholder support.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with both operational teams and senior stakeholders.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch would be considered an asset.
- Flexible to undertake occasional travel to operational locations, vessels, or regional offices when required.
