Job summary

A leading subsea solutions provider is seeking a Planner to support tenders and projects by developing detailed planning schedules for offshore operations. This role involves collaborating with teams, ensuring accurate and transparent planning, and improving efficiencies. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of planner experience, a relevant degree, and knowledge of Primavera software. The position is full-time based in Dordrecht, Netherlands.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a planner in a complex project environment.
  • Experience in the offshore or maritime industry is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project schedules in line with tender, project, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate and integrate planning input from all relevant departments.
  • Collaborate and align schedules with external planners, including subcontractors and clients.
  • Collect and share progress data in liaison with the project teams.

Job description

As a Planner at N-Sea, you play a crucial role in supporting our tenders, projects, and clients by developing detailed and realistic planning schedules for offshore projects. Your work forms the foundation for efficient resource utilization, risk identification, and project control, enabling our teams to deliver successful projects across the oil & gas and renewable energy sectors.

You will create, coordinate, and maintain schedules that provide clear insight into project timelines, milestones, and resource availability. As a key member of both the Tender Teams and Project Teams, you ensure that planning information is accurate, transparent, and up to date.

In addition, you support junior planners in the team and contribute to improving the planning and scheduling processes within the organisation helping N-Sea to continuously evolve towards greater efficiency and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed project schedules in line with tender, project, and client requirements;
  • Coordinate and integrate planning input from all relevant departments;
  • Collaborate and align schedules with external planners, including subcontractors and clients;
  • Incorporate critical resources (such as vessels, equipment, and key personnel) and determine critical paths and bottlenecks in cooperation with project stakeholders;
  • Collect and share progress data in liaison with the project teams;
  • Report project progress, identify potential issues, and develop mitigation measures and recovery plans where necessary;
  • Guide, support, and develop junior planners and temporary planning resources;
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the planning and scheduling discipline;
  • Ensure full compliance with N-Sea’s policies, procedures, and EHSQ standards, and actively contribute to a safe working environment;
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or Technical business administration;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a planner in a complex project environment;
  • Demonstrable knowledge and practical experience with Primavera planning software;
  • Experience in the offshore or maritime industry is a strong advantage;
  • Strong analytical skills with a systematic and structured approach to decision‑making;
  • Proactive, solution‑oriented, innovative, and flexible mindset;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken);
