Job summary

sennder, Europe’s leading digital freight forwarder, seeks a Commercial Operations Manager for our Amsterdam office. You will own the commercial development of key accounts, lead opportunities end-to-end, and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, balancing profitability with service excellence.

You will work onsite in Amsterdam, requiring Dutch and English fluency, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and a hands-on, data-driven approach to identify growth and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Dutch fluency required; strong written and verbal English communication.
• 3–5 years in a dynamic customer-facing operational and/or commercial role.
• Logistics/supply chain experience preferred; strong profile from outside the industry welcome.
• Hands-on mentality: dive into operational details, investigate issues, own actions.
• Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable improvements.
• Commercial acumen and long-term partnering mindset to grow value.
• Ability to challenge customers and internal stakeholders constructively.
• Proven relationship-building across multiple stakeholder levels.
• Experience coordinating complex commercial opportunities, negotiations or tenders.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial development of the account, identify growth opportunities, lead negotiations and proposals.
• Build and strengthen relationships with operational contacts and senior decision makers.
• Lead new business opportunities and tender processes end to end with internal stakeholders.
• Take hands-on ownership of customer operations, ensuring high service levels and performance.
• Lead customer performance reviews and translate insights into actionable plans.
