Job summary

sennder, Amsterdam office, is seeking an Operations Manager to build and manage relationships with carriers and customers while driving contractual and spot market commitments. You will negotiate rates, ensure on-time shipments, and lead cross-functional collaboration to support our key customer go-to-market strategy.

You will develop market intelligence, identify backup carriers, and align with the branch strategy while thriving under deadlines in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in freight forwarding and/or transport industry is preferable.
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Entrepreneurial character with an international mindset.
• Strong ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate and influence others.
• Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team while delivering independent results.
• Proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop supply chain solutions to support our customer go-to-market strategy.
• Resolve problems by identifying issues and implementing solutions.
• Maintain and grow relationships with customer and carrier accounts.
• Research new carriers, generate leads, and build carrier relationships.
• Call carriers to determine availability, commitment, and negotiate rates.
• Ensure customer load requirements are met on all shipments.
• Identify backup carriers for critical situations.
• Study market trends and seasonality.
• Align with branch strategy and vision.
• Perform additional duties as required by team/country.
