Job summary

sennder is seeking an Operations Representative to join our Amsterdam office and support our go-to-market strategy by developing supply chain solutions and coordinating with carriers.

You will build relationships with customers and carriers, negotiate rates, manage load requirements, and help drive our international logistics platform forward with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in freight forwarding and/or transport industry is preferable.
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Entrepreneurial character and international mindset.
• Strong ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence others.
• Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment, while delivering independent results.
• Proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop supply chain solutions to support our customer go-to-market strategy.
• Resolve problems by identifying issues, seeking input, and implementing solutions.
• Maintain and grow relationships with customer and carrier accounts.
• Research new carriers, generate leads, and build new carrier relationships.
• Conduct calls with carriers to determine availability, commitment, and negotiate transportation rates.
• Ensure customer load requirements are met on committed and/or ad-hoc shipments.
• Identify backup carriers for critical situations.
• Study and understand market trends and seasonality.
• Align with the branch strategy and vision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
