• 2+ years of experience within commercial management, quantity surveying, contract management, or project commercial functions.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, cost management, forecasting, budgeting, and commercial risk management.
• Experience managing client contracts and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ability to oversee commercial performance across multiple projects and support project delivery teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• English speaking; EU nationality required.

G2 are currently looking for a Commercial Assistant to join a client on a permanent basis, based in the North Netherlands, Groningen region.

The client is looking for a Commercial Assistant to join their fast-paced and growing organisation. They are seeking someone who is ready to support commercial operations, maximise project profitability, support the management of contractual risks, and support the wider business in delivering successful project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial functions within a construction, engineering, infrastructure, or project-driven environment. They are looking for someone who can oversee contract management, cost control, procurement activities, stakeholder relationships, and commercial reporting across multiple projects.

START: September 2026 onwards

Specification:

• 2+ years' experience within commercial management, quantity surveying, contract management, or project commercial functions
• Strong understanding of contract administration, cost management, forecasting, budgeting, and commercial risk management
• Experience managing client contracts and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
• Ability to oversee commercial performance across multiple projects and support project delivery teams

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial function across a large and active construction site environment.
