Job summary

Corendon Amsterdam New West is seeking a Head Chef to lead the Mondi–Caribbean kitchen concept, guiding a kitchen team in a vibrant, international hotel setting in Amsterdam.

You will develop flavors, create new dishes, uphold HACCP standards, and mentor colleagues while delivering memorable dining experiences to guests.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety.

As a Chef de Partie, you are responsible for managing your own section within the kitchen and, together with the team, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes. With your culinary expertise, attention to detail, and passion for cooking, you contribute daily to creating an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.

Your responsibilities:

• You have a passion for cooking, possess all-round culinary knowledge, and are eager to showcase your talents in a professional kitchen

• You are service-oriented, hospitable, and have a positive, team-focused attitude

• You are able to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment

• You have strong problem-solving skills, can quickly identify key information, recognize patterns, and develop practical solutions

• You are quality-driven, well-organized, and able to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role is an advantage

• Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety regulations is preferred

• Experience with Caribbean cuisine is a plus, but most importantly you are eager to learn and bring creativity to the kitchen
