Job summary

Corendon Amsterdam New-West is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead the Mondi Caribbean Restaurant and oversee the kitchen operations with a hands-on leadership style. You will work closely with the Head Chef to manage stock, purchasing, and cost control while mentoring the kitchen team to deliver high-quality Caribbean-inspired dishes in a dynamic, international setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory or management role in a professional kitchen.
• Strong leadership with coaching and developing the kitchen team.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory management, and cost control.
• Solid knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Hands-on, cooking alongside your team.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• You speak English; Dutch is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in food preparation and service operations.

• Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and other hotel departments.
• Serve as a hands-on leader, supporting the team during busy service periods.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, development, and excellence.
