Job summary

Ruby Group seeks a friendly hospitality professional in Rotterdam to greet guests, assist with self-check-in, and deliver exceptional service across bars and breakfast operations. You’ll craft drinks, support breakfast service, and help maintain flawless mise-en-place while sharing local tips with guests.

The role emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude, with Dutch and English language proficiency and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Ideally gained some experience in the hotel industry or hospitality settings.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they feel at home from arrival to departure.
• Assist guests with self-check-in and perform front desk duties as needed.
• Prepare cocktails, drinks, and snacks with attention to presentation and service quality.
• Manage breakfast buffet setup and assist with barista tasks to impress guests.
• Handle goods receiving, inspection and storage, ensuring mise-en-place aligns with standards.
• Share insider tips with guests and highlight the city’s hotspots.

With 225 rooms, she rises in Galshaven, just southwest of the city centre, putting Rotterdam's historic heart, the iconic Market Hall and excellent transport connections within easy reach - while the skyline around you proves one thing: the future is now.

We are a fast-growing hospitality group with existing hotels and workspaces in some of Europe's most exciting locations and many more projects under construction. We break new ground with our Lean Luxury philosophy, creating a contemporary and affordable form of luxury.

The role is set to start in September, just in time for the opening of our hotel in October. First interviews are planned for the middle of August, and those invited to our first audition will hear from us separately.

• ideally gained some experience in the hotel industry, don't worry if you don't know what "mise-en-place" means yet

• a great sense of humour, enjoy working in a team, and love interacting with our guests
• speaking fluent Dutch and English
