Job summary

Cisco in the Netherlands seeks a Benelux Government Affairs Manager to lead government engagements across the Benelux region. You will interact with policymakers to advance Cisco’s policy interests and business objectives from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

The candidate will coordinate with Cisco leadership across Europe and globally, shaping policy strategies and regulatory positions to support Cisco’s growth and public-sector initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of political and public policy experience from roles within government, corporate government affairs, trade associations, law firms, and/or public policy institutions.
• Near-native fluency in English, Dutch, and French.
• Telecommunications and technology-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with key government leaders, elected officials, and policymakers to convey Cisco’s priorities.
• Proactively engage Cisco in local policymaking and regulatory processes, including industry coalitions, hearings, and meetings.
• Develop and execute advocacy strategies to advance Cisco’s core public policy initiatives.
• Support Cisco’s public sector sales and business development with political, policy, and purpose-driven initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze political and policy trends across the region to advise on implications.
• Prepare and present position papers, regulatory filings, testimony, and briefings.
• Work closely with Cisco leadership across the region and globally, explaining complex regulatory matters clearly.
• Foster cross-border collaboration and knowledge sharing with Government Affairs colleagues in Europe and globally.
