Job summary

Van Storm Recruitment seeks an AV/IT Design Engineer to translate complex technical information into precise 2D drawings, wiring diagrams, rack layouts and supporting documentation for high-end superyacht projects.

You will collaborate with Sales Engineers, System Engineers and specialists to ensure accurate representations of components, connections and system layouts for onboard installation teams. The role offers exposure to advanced AV/IT architectures and evolving marine technologies.

Qualifications

Experience as CAD/engineering roles translating technical info into drawings and documentation.
Familiarity with AV/IT/electrical systems and systems integration.
Ability to produce clear 2D drawings, wiring diagrams, and rack layouts.

Responsibilities

Create clear and accurate 2D technical drawings, wiring diagrams, rack layouts and documentation.
Translate technical information into practical onboard installation designs.
Design AV/IT solutions for audio, video, networks, lighting and IT infrastructure.
Work mainly with Microsoft Visio to produce drawings for spaces and systems.
Ensure components and connections are accurately represented in drawings.
Review technical information for missing or unclear details and work with technical teams.
Support the preparation of designs ready for onboard implementation.
Maintain high quality and continually develop technical knowledge.
