Job summary

Saints & Stars in Amsterdam seeks an Assistant Club Manager to lead a Front Desk team of 40+ trainers and oversee 250 weekly workouts, while upholding our 5-star service standards. You will manage daily club operations, hire Experience Ambassadors, coordinate scheduling and budgets, and ensure top-notch member experiences in a fast-paced environment.

A background in hospitality or sports and strong leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of management experience in customer service, preferably hospitality or sports.
• Affinity with Saints & Stars and familiarity with its concepts and structure.
• Interest in fitness and sports.
• Understanding of sales and revenue management.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Friendly, enthusiastic, hands-on attitude.
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to various situations.
• Experience with scheduling and managing staff budget.
• Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Act as the direct assistant to the Club Manager, executing all duties across the chain of command.
• Manage and supervise the Front Desk team and external contractors.
• Master and exemplify the Experience Ambassador roles and company standards.
• Participate in the Front Desk team to maintain overall customer experience.
• Oversee the hiring process for Experience Ambassadors: reviewing applications, selecting candidates, conducting interviews, collecting contract documents, arranging training, and following up on trial month reviews.
• Address employee matters, including designing personal improvement plans, instructing the Shift Coordinator(s)/Shift leaders on handling issues, and following up on staff events.
• Ensure club maintenance and hygiene.
• Access and manage the Master file for data extraction, number analysis, budget estimates, and attend weekly management meetings.
• Follow up with Shift Coordinator(s) and/or Shift leaders on staff schedules, pin reports, stock orders, etc.
• Conduct periodic sit-downs with shift leaders and the Club Manager to discuss club matters, and hold yearly appraisal talks with Shift leaders and Experience Ambassadors.
• Manage scheduling, ordering, and inventory.

Your Responsibilities:

As the Assistant Club Manager, you are the central hub of the club and a role model for your team. In a dynamic environment, you will navigate an expanding of the Front Desk team, 40+ Star Trainers, and manage over 250 weekly workouts.
