Moxy & Residence Inn Houthavens Amsterdam, managed by Vertiq Hospitality Partners, part of Marriott Hotels & Resorts, seeks an Assistant Front Office Manager to uphold superb guest service and front desk operations.

You will assist in leading front office activities, training staff, and ensuring seamless check-in/out processes, while collaborating with other departments to exceed guest expectations.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or managerial role in hotel front office.
• Prior Marriott brand experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Opera systems.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication in English; Dutch preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front office operations including check-in/out, reservations, and guest services.
• Support Front Office Manager in training and supervising front desk staff.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate guest services and resolve issues.
• Build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
• Maintain records and reports for front office operations and transactions.
• Uphold hotel policies and standards for a safe, welcoming environment.
• Act in absence of Front Office Manager; participate in department meetings.
