Job summary

Shock Media B.V. in the Netherlands is seeking an Ansible Engineer to join a young, professional team focused on automation and IT infrastructure. You will develop Ansible playbooks and roles, automate repetitive tasks, and help deploy and maintain systems for international clients.

The role offers a gross annual salary between €45,000 and €67,500, with travel allowance or a company car/bike, 26 vacation days, a pension plan, a training budget, remote work options, and clear growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience developing and improving professional Ansible roles and playbooks.
• Familiar with git version control.
• You are able to set up, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Ansible Tower/AWX is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with a scripting/programming language such as Bash/Python/Go is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop various Ansible playbooks and roles to automate system tasks and deployments.
• Automate repetitive, time-consuming tasks using Ansible.
• Review existing playbooks and roles and implement improvements.
• Write documentation about playbooks and roles for colleagues.

What will you do?

• You will be part of the Ansible team where you will work on developing various Ansible playbooks and roles to further automate (manual) system tasks and server deployment;
• You will look for repetitive, time-consuming, and manual tasks and automate these as much as possible using Ansible;
• You will review existing playbooks and roles and implement improvements;
• You will write documentation about playbooks and roles so that your colleagues have a clear understanding of the procedures;
• Troubleshooting complex technical customer issues.
