Job summary

Shock Media is hiring a Kubernetes-focused engineer to build and scale our Managed Hosting Platform. You’ll work with Kubernetes, Rancher, and related tooling to deploy new apps, improve performance, and reduce technical debt.

A strong emphasis is placed on proactive problem solving and collaboration across teams. The role offers a competitive salary with travel allowance options, 26 vacation days, and a pension plan.

What will you do?

As part of a team of Kubernetes specialists, you play an important role in improving, scaling, and launching our services. Your responsibilities include:

• Working with technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, Prometheus, and ArgoCD;
• Researching and implementing new tooling to keep up with the fast-evolving Kubernetes landscape;
• Launching new applications on our Managed Application Platform based on client requirements;
• Maintaining existing tooling and minimizing technical debt;
• Contributing to the team’s direction and the further development of our services;
• Troubleshooting complex technical customer issues.

What do we ask?

• Experience with Kubernetes;
• Experience optimizing configurations of (Linux) systems used for websites, webshops, and/or web applications;
• A proactive mindset, contributing ideas and taking responsibility to drive progress together.

• A gross annual salary of € 50.000 to € 70.000, depending on your knowledge and experience;
