Test Equipment Design & Support Engineer
Job summary
A leading consulting firm is seeking a Test Equipment Design & Support Engineer in Penang, Malaysia. This role involves maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting testing equipment to support electrical validation and hardware procurement. Candidates with a Diploma or Degree in a technical field are encouraged to apply, including fresh graduates. The successful candidate will lead equipment maintenance, ensure timely service tasks, and collaborate with teams to ensure operations run smoothly. Knowledge of ATE calibration and programming basics are preferred.
Qualifications
- Fresh graduates may apply; relevant experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with equipment procurement and validation required.
- Knowledge of soldering and IC rework is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance and qualification of test equipment.
- Ensure timely completion of service and calibration tasks.
- Lead troubleshooting of major equipment failures.
- Maximize uptime and performance of testing equipment.
- Support debugging and testing during electrical validation.
- Coordinate procurement and buyoff of new equipment/hardware.
- Maintain equipment documentation and service records.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth test operations.
