Job summary

Stuttgarage Continental Car Specialist in Setapak, KL is seeking a proactive Workshop Controller to manage day-to-day workshop operations, scheduling jobs, and allocating repair orders to technicians based on skill and workload.

You will track progress with the workshop's job-tracking system, ensure tasks meet manufacturer standards, and coordinate with Service Advisors and Parts to maintain smooth workflow and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in automotive workshop operations; prior Job Controller / Workshop Controller / supervisory experience an advantage
• Experience with BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Audi or other premium/continental brands an added advantage
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills; able to work under pressure while balancing productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Computer literate - comfortable with digital job-tracking tools
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workshop operations such as scheduling jobs, allocating repair orders to technicians based on skill level, workload, job priority, and hoist/bay availability
• Coordinate closely with Service Advisors, Parts, and Technicians to keep workflow smooth end-to-end
• Track vehicle status through each stage via the workshop's job tracking system
• Monitor repair progress to ensure vehicles are completed within promised delivery time
• Flag delays or bottlenecks early and escalate where needed
• Ensure all work is completed to standards, manufacturer procedures, and safety protocols
• Review repair orders/job cards for accuracy and labour operations properly recorded before vehicle release
• Liaise with Service Advisors to provide timely updates on vehicle status and address concerns
• Coordinate with Parts Department on availability affecting job scheduling
• Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to technicians, fostering a collaborative floor environment
• Monitor technician productivity and workshop efficiency against operational KPIs, driving improvement where needed
• Oversee workshop equipment/tools, coordinating repairs or replacement as needed
