Job summary

HRX Motosport in Malaysia is hiring a Workshop Supervisor / Mechanic Manager to lead the mechanic team, oversee daily workshop operations, and ensure all vehicles are serviced safely and to quality standards. You will assign tasks, monitor progress and liaise with the service desk to update customers.

The successful candidate has 3–5 years of automotive workshop experience, strong leadership, troubleshooting skills and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive workshop operations.
• Strong experience as a Senior Mechanic, Workshop Supervisor or Manager.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, repair, diagnostics and maintenance.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Able to diagnose and troubleshoot automotive problems.

We are an automotive workshop committed to providing reliable vehicle servicing, repair and maintenance solutions. We are looking for a Workshop Supervisor / Mechanic Manager to lead our mechanic team, manage workshop activities and ensure every vehicle is handled safely, efficiently and according to our quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily workshop operations and ensure jobs are completed smoothly and efficiently.

Supervise, lead and coordinate the mechanic and technician team.

Assign daily jobs to mechanics based on workload, skill level and job priority.

Monitor vehicle inspection, servicing, repair and maintenance processes.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues when required.

Ensure all repair and servicing work meets company quality and safety standards.

Check completed work before vehicles are released to customers.

Monitor job progress and ensure vehicles are completed within the agreed timeline.

Coordinate closely with Customer Service/Sales team regarding vehicle status and repair updates.

Explain technical issues, repair recommendations and job requirements to the relevant team when necessary.

Monitor usage and condition of workshop tools, equipment and machinery.

Ensure workshop cleanliness, safety and proper housekeeping are maintained.

Monitor spare parts usage and coordinate with management regarding parts requirements.

Identify recurring technical or operational problems and recommend solutions.

Train, coach and develop mechanics to improve technical skills, productivity and work quality.

Monitor technician productivity, attendance, discipline and overall performance.

Ensure proper documentation of job orders, inspection findings and completed repairs.

Handle technical complaints and support the team in resolving customer-related issues.

Monitor workshop KPIs such as job completion time, productivity, comeback rate and repair quality.

Ensure compliance with workplace safety and workshop SOPs.

Support management in improving workshop efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive workshop operations.

Strong experience as a Senior Mechanic, Workshop Supervisor, Workshop Manager or similar position.

Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, repair, diagnostics and maintenance.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Able to diagnose and troubleshoot automotive problems.

Good understanding of workshop workflow and job management.

Good knowledge of tools, equipment and automotive parts.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Able to work hands-on in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsible and quality-conscious.

Able to manage multiple vehicles/jobs at the same time.

Automotive technical certification is an advantage.

A valid driving licence is an advantage.
