Job summary

Argnworks Industries Services in Kuala Lumpur City Centre is seeking a Workshop Assistant to support our workshop operations. This hands-on role involves assisting tradespeople, preparing tools, handling materials, and maintaining a tidy, safe work area.

You will follow instructions, perform general labour, and help with loading, unloading, and simple equipment repair under supervision. A willingness to learn, reliability, and good teamwork are essential to thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks.
• Willingness to learn and develop practical skills in a workshop.
• Strong attention to safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
• Reliability, punctuality and good work ethic.
• Basic numeracy and literacy.
• Valid driving license desirable but not essential.
• Previous workshop/labour/trades experience advantageous.
• Enthusiasm for working with tools and equipment.
• Good communication and positive attitude toward health and safety.

• Assisting with loading and unloading of vehicles and materials.
• Performing general labour duties to support operations.

About the role

We are seeking a Workshop Assistant to join our team at Argnworks Industries Services in Kuala Lumpur City Centre on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on position that plays a vital role in supporting our workshop operations and ensuring the smooth running of our facility. As a Workshop Assistant, you will be working alongside experienced tradespeople and contributing directly to the completion of various workshop projects and maintenance tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills within the trades and services industry whilst working in a professional and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting skilled tradespeople with various workshop tasks and projects
• Preparing and maintaining workshop tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and organised manner
• Carrying out manual tasks including handling, moving and storing materials and components
• Supporting the assembly, disassembly and repair of equipment as directed
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the workshop to ensure a safe working environment
• Operating basic workshop equipment under supervision and guidance
• Following health and safety procedures and protocols at all times
• Supporting inventory management by keeping track of materials and alerting supervisors to stock levels
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles and materials as required
• Performing general labour duties to support workshop operations

• A keen willingness to learn and develop practical skills within a workshop environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene

• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential
• Previous experience in a workshop, labouring or trades environment would be advantageous
• Enthusiasm for working with tools and equipment
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards health and safety practices
