Job summary

Carsem is seeking a Wire Bond Process Engineer in Ipoh, Malaysia to lead and optimize wire bond manufacturing processes, ensuring quality, efficiency and continuous improvement. The role focuses on developing, sustaining and improving process capability while supporting customer specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2–5 years of relevant wire bond experience, with a hands-on approach to problem solving and team supervision.

Responsibilities

• Train, motivate and supervise a team to achieve process yields and productivity.

• Develop new processes and source materials/equipment for continuous improvement.
• Review and ensure customer specifications are complied with.
• Develop/update process flow and specifications reflecting customer or in-house changes.
• Determine standard UPH, SOP and materials for new equipment/process.
• Drive VOC/VOP/MRB/CAPA improvements and update specifications for audits.

Wire Bond Process Engineer

We are looking for a talented Wire Bond Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing and sustaining processes for our manufacturing operations, focusing on quality, efficiency, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train , motivate and supervise a team of engineers or process technicians or engineering operator to achieve process yields, quality and productivity through proper team work.
• Provide technical support and solution to process issues.
• Develop and monitor yield, quality, and involve productivity improvement and cost reduction programs and also E/Q lots.
• Develop new process and source for materials, equipment for continuous break through improvement.
• Review and ensure customer specification is complied.
• Develop/improve process flow and update specifications to reflect changes in production by customers or in-house products
• Determine standard UPH, standard operation procedure and material for new equipment/process.
• Quality accountability such as VOC/VOP/MRB/CAPA improvement and update specification to reflect control and customer audit failure

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant working experience in Wire Bond processes.
