Job summary

The role holder is accountable for the timely, accurate, and controlled settlement of Wealth Management transactions across assigned products, markets, booking centres, and legal entities. You will oversee end-to-end settlement activities, ensure accurate settlement instructions, and monitor positions, exceptions, and reconciliations.

Collaborating with counterparties, custodians, depositories, brokers, and internal teams, you will drive issue resolution, maintain control of settlement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end settlement activities for Wealth Management products.
• Ensure settlement instructions are complete and released within cut-off times.
• Monitor settlement positions, unmatched transactions, pending trades, and failed settlements.
• Investigate and resolve settlement exceptions, including mismatches and cash/securities issues.
• Coordinate with counterparties, custodians, depositories, brokers, and internal teams.
• Maintain oversight of trade matching, confirmation, and settlement-status monitoring.
• Ensure correct cash and securities reflected in relevant accounts.
• Review and resolve reconciliations within agreed timelines.
• Identify and escalate failed trades before market/client deadlines.
• Assess impact of settlement failures and take mitigating actions.
• Monitor aged settlement items and ensure ownership and action plans.
• Investigate and process fees, penalties, and market claims per procedures.
• Support corporate-action settlement events affecting open/pending/failed transactions.
• Authorize, document, and control reversals, cancellations, amendments, and interventions.
• Maintain controls over settlement release, instruction changes, and standing instructions.
• Record material incidents and ensure root-cause analysis.
• Produce management information on settlement volumes, failures, and risks.
• Analyze recurring issues with business/technology partners to drive remediation.
• Support market/regulatory changes affecting the settlement model.
• Contribute to settlement automation and standardisation, reducing manual work.
• Maintain procedures, maps, escalation matrices, and continuity plans.
• Ensure capacity and coverage for deadlines, peak periods, and contingencies.

Education
