Job summary

Finsmart Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Settlement Operations professional to execute and reconcile settlements across equities, fixed income, and other instruments. You will manage clearing, confirmations, and client inquiries, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field.
• Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CMT) is a plus.
• Proven experience in settlement operations within a brokerage or financial institution.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments and trade settlement processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in relevant settlement and trading systems/software.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance related to settlement operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of settlements and cash movements.

• Monitor and manage settlement-related risks and issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to settlements and transactions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in settlement operations.
• Generate and distribute settlement reports to internal teams and clients as required.
