Job summary
Industrial Water Engineers (M) Sdn Bhd (IWE) is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to blend engineering know-how with business development in the water and wastewater sector. You will engage industrial clients, translate technical needs into viable solutions, and drive projects from enquiry to delivery.
The role emphasizes field visits, collaboration with the Application team, and ongoing customer support. Travel locally and overseas may be required; technical sales experience is an advantage
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Environmental/Chemical or related).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant technical experience in industrial water & wastewater treatment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills; able to translate requirements into solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and events.
- Build long-term relationships with industrial customers.
- Understand customer challenges and identify opportunities for water & wastewater treatment solutions.
- Conduct site visits to gather requirements and assess existing systems.
- Translate technical requirements into practical, cost-effective solutions with the Application team.
- Prepare and present technical proposals, quotations and concepts.
- Collaborate with Sales, Application and Project teams to ensure viable solutions.
- Provide technical support and resolve customer issues on site or remotely.
