Job summary

Industrial Water Engineers (IWE) is seeking Senior / Project Engineers to oversee water and wastewater projects from planning through execution in Malaysia. You will manage projects, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure delivery meets budget, schedule, and technical standards.

This role suits engineers who are passionate about end-to-end project execution and delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions across mechanical, electrical, control, and process disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required; master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years site/project experience in process water and wastewater treatment field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, goal-driven attitude.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally for project installations (1–3 weeks).
• Fluent in English and Malay; Chinese communication is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple engineering projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Oversee all technical aspects of project implementation including mechanical, electrical, control systems, and chemical/biological processes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, interpreting their needs and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project performance, including budget, schedule, and team productivity, and report progress to management.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with project timelines and specifications.
• Facilitate technical discussions with internal teams to review deliverables and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Collaborate across departments to share knowledge and support problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement.
