Job summary

Dryco Filtration in Malaysia seeks a Mechanical Engineering graduate to engage with customers, site teams and distributors, sizing and selecting water pumps and related equipment based on technical and application requirements.

You will conduct visits to water treatment plants and industrial facilities, prepare quotations, provide pre- and post-sales technical support, and coordinate service activities to ensure reliable performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong technical, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide effective technical support and troubleshooting.
• Fast learner, disciplined, independent, proactive and result-oriented.
• Willing to travel extensively to customer sites, project sites and service locations.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in technical sales, engineering services, pumps, water/wastewater systems or related industries is an added advantage.
• Ability to understand technical drawings, equipment specifications and engineering requirements would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, suppliers and manufacturers to understand customer requirements and recommend, size and select suitable water pumps and related equipment based on technical and application requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with end users, contractors, consultants, distributors, suppliers and business partners.
• Identify, develop and pursue new customers, projects, suppliers and business opportunities to support sales and service growth.
• Conduct customer and site visits, including water treatment plants, pump stations and industrial facilities, to assess equipment conditions, understand operational requirements and identify potential sales and service opportunities.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations, tenders and proposals for water pumps, spare parts, repair works, maintenance services and other related products and services.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including technical consultation, product recommendations, troubleshooting and product education to customers.
• Prepare and conduct technical presentations, product briefings and demonstrations for customers, consultants, contractors and end users.
• Carry out site inspection, troubleshooting, servicing, repair and maintenance works for pumps and related mechanical equipment.
• Visit customer sites to diagnose equipment problems, determine the root cause and recommend appropriate repair, refurbishment, replacement or maintenance solutions, including preparation of service quotations.
• Provide effective technical problem-solving and troubleshooting support to address customer pump performance, operational and maintenance requirements.
• Plan, coordinate and organize service and maintenance manpower to ensure preventive maintenance and service activities are carried out efficiently and on schedule.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance crews during site activities to ensure mechanical problems are resolved promptly, safely and effectively.
• Perform hands-on mechanical servicing, troubleshooting, dismantling, inspection, repair and reassembly of pumps and related equipment when required.
• Prepare and maintain accurate sales, service, site inspection, maintenance and technical reports.
• Coordinate and conduct pre-job site visits, site assessments and work planning to ensure manpower, tools, spare parts and technical requirements are properly arranged before service activities.
• Understand and manage commercial requirements, including payment terms and commercial practices applicable to contractors, distributors, end users and other customer segments.
• Provide professional after-sales service and technical support to maintain customer satisfaction and develop long-term business relationships.
• Follow up on quotations, tenders, service proposals and customer enquiries to achieve sales and service targets.
• Identify opportunities for spare parts, repair, refurbishment, preventive maintenance and equipment replacement to support recurring service and sales revenue.
• Ensure all service and sales activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, safety requirements and customer requirements.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Sales Manager or authorized person.
