Job summary

Flowlink Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia, Johor Bahru, is seeking a Service Technician to install, commission, and service industrial pumps and rotating equipment. You will conduct on-site inspections, diagnose pump issues, and perform repairs with hands-on maintenance across various industrial environments.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 1-2 years of pump servicing experience, with good troubleshooting skills and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 1-2 years' experience in pump servicing or rotating equipment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, pumps, bearings, seals, valves and piping.
• Able to read technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and work in different industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and repair of industrial pumps and related equipment.
• Perform on-site inspection, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of pump and system issues.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps and mechanical components.
• Conduct pump testing and verify equipment performance after servicing or repair.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and operational problems and recommend solutions.

• Work with Sales Engineers and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain records of service activities, spare parts, tools, and equipment used.

About you

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Candidates with 1- 2 years experience in pump servicing, rotating equipment, mechanical maintenance, or industrial equipment are preferred.

Basic understanding of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, bearings, seals, valves, and piping is preferred.

Able to read and understand basic technical drawings and equipment manuals.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working with hand tools and mechanical equipment.

Willing to travel to customer sites and work in different industrial environments.

Possess a valid Class D driving licence.

Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Good communication skills and a positive working attitude.
