Job summary

SMKARE Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a responsible and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to manage warehouse operations and support the smooth flow of materials from receiving to production and finished goods.

The role requires a diploma or degree in a relevant field (preferred), at least 2 years of experience in warehouse/logistics, and the ability to communicate in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia. On-the-job training and opportunities to develop in warehouse management and manufacturing operations

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant warehouse/logistics/manufacturing operations experience.
• Forklift/Reach Truck driving competency is an advantage with valid certificate.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control and material flow.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, kitting, and finished goods handling.
• Coordinate incoming materials with proper checking, labeling and storage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock control and traceability.
• Monitor material movement between warehouse and production areas and support inter-department coordination.
• Conduct regular stock checks and support cycle counts/stock takes.
• Investigate discrepancies, damaged materials, shortages or other issues and take corrective actions.
• Ensure proper warehouse layout, FIFO/FEFO where applicable, and good housekeeping.
• Supervise warehouse manpower and allocate daily tasks according to operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily warehouse operations, including material receiving, storage, picking, kitting, production line feeding and finished goods handling.
• Coordinate incoming materials and ensure proper checking, identification, labeling and storage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock control and traceability.
• Monitor material movement between warehouse and production areas.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, Engineering, Purchasing and other departments to ensure smooth material flow.
• Manage finished goods storage, picking and preparation for shipment.
• Conduct regular stock checks and support cycle count / stock take activities.
• Investigate and follow up on inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, shortages or other warehouse issues.
• Ensure proper warehouse layout, storage locations, FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable, and good housekeeping.
• Supervise warehouse manpower and allocate daily tasks according to operational requirements.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory or manufacturing operations.
• Forklift / Reach Truck driving experience with a valid and recognized competency certificate is an advantage.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and material handling will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control and material flow.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia (speaking, reading and writing).
• Able to communicate effectively and coordinate with different departments.
• Able to work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities and handle daily operational issues.
• Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented and willing to learn.
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
