Job summary

Kintetsu World Express (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Penang to oversee daily warehouse operations and lead the warehouse team to achieve targets. You will supervise Coordinators, Shift Leaders and Operators, ensuring SOP/WI compliance and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Requirements include a Diploma/Degree in Logistics or related field and 3–5 years of warehouse experience with supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse/logistics experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, putaway and shipment handling.
• Experience in WMS/UWS or other warehouse management systems will be an advantage.
• Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage manpower, multiple priorities and operational issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong sense of responsibility, discipline and customer focus.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends or public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise warehouse Coordinators, Shift Leaders and Operators in line with company policies and SOP/WI
• Plan daily, weekly and monthly work activities, manpower deployment and shift schedules
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, performance and productivity
• Conduct regular team briefings and provide coaching, training and guidance to staff
• Oversee daily inbound and outbound warehouse activities to ensure smooth and timely operations
• Monitor receiving, putaway, storage and cargo movement to ensure accuracy and proper handling
• Conduct regular Gemba walks and ensure cargo is properly stored, positioned and maintained
• Ensure daily housekeeping and a safe, clean and organised working environment
• Supervise and resolve issues relating to inbound/outbound shipments, inventory and warehouse operations
• Prepare and maintain operational reports required by management and customers
