Yunyi Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Warehouse Executive in Butterworth, Penang. You will oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, supervise staff, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure smooth material movements to support manufacturing and logistics activities.

The role requires strong leadership, inventory control knowledge, and the ability to manage warehouse operations efficiently while adhering to 5S/6S standards and IATF 16949 requirements where relevant.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in logistics/supply chain or related field.
• Experience with inventory control and stock movements in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in SAP/WMS/ERP and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership and team supervision capabilities.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, issuance, packing and deliveries.
• Supervise workers, assign tasks and monitor performance.
• Plan manpower to ensure smooth daily operations; monitor loading/unloading of containers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; conduct cycle counts and stock checks.
• Ensure FIFO, batch traceability, and proper storage arrangements; comply with 5S/6S and safety policies.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics to ensure smooth material flow.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Executive to join our team at Yunyi Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Butterworth, Penang.

As a Warehouse Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, supervising warehouse personnel, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring smooth material movements to support manufacturing and logistics activities.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, good inventory management knowledge, and the ability to manage warehouse operations efficiently.

Job Description:

1. Warehouse Operations & Team Supervision

Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, material issuance, packing, and deliveries.

Supervise warehouse workers, assign daily tasks, and monitor work performance and productivity.

Plan and arrange manpower to ensure smooth daily warehouse operations.

Monitor loading and unloading activities, including incoming and outgoing containers.

Ensure timely material issuance to production and proper handling of finished goods.

Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and compliance with 5S/6S standards.

2. Inventory Control & Stock Management

Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure proper recording of all stock movements.

Conduct regular cycle counts, stock checks, and periodic physical stock takes.

Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Ensure proper FIFO implementation, material identification, and batch traceability.

Monitor warehouse storage arrangements and optimize space utilization.

3. Warehouse System & Documentation

Ensure accurate and timely inventory transactions using SAP, WMS, or other warehouse management systems.

Monitor goods receiving, material issuance, stock transfers, and inventory adjustments.

Maintain proper warehouse documentation and inventory records.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports as required.

Ensure physical inventory matches system records.

4. Team Management & Coordination

Monitor warehouse workers' attendance, discipline, productivity, and daily work performance.

Provide guidance and on-the-job training to warehouse personnel.

Ensure warehouse workers follow established SOPs, safety requirements, and company policies.

Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics departments to ensure smooth material flow.

Resolve daily warehouse operational issues and elevate major problems to management.

5. Warehouse Improvement & Compliance

Identify and implement improvements to warehouse operations, inventory control, and productivity.

Ensure compliance with warehouse SOPs, safety procedures, and quality management requirements.

Support internal and external audits, including IATF 16949 requirements.

Implement corrective and preventive actions for warehouse-related issues.

Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

At least possess a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 3 year(s) of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Previous experience supervising warehouse workers or leading a warehouse team is preferred.

Knowledge of inventory control, stock-taking procedures, FIFO, and warehouse management.

Experience using SAP, WMS, ERP, or similar inventory management systems will be an added advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Good leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Able to supervise warehouse personnel, coordinate daily activities, and work independently.

Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.

Experience in automotive manufacturing and familiarity with IATF 16949 requirements will be an added advantage.
