Job summary

Nan Ya Hardware in Malaysia is seeking a logistics coordinator with a Diploma in Logistics/Transportation to help manage operations and transportation activities.

You will ensure timely delivery, monitor movement efficiency, and work with suppliers, carriers, and customers. Mandarin fluency is preferred as you may deal with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Knowledge of trade regulations and customs procedures is a plus; opportunities exist to optimize distribution and report on performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Logistics/Transportation or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of logistical procedures and best practices.
• Understanding of supply chain processes.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
• Mandarin language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations and coordinate transportation activities.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and monitor movement efficiency.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and customers.
• Monitor and manage warehouse inventory levels effectively.
• Develop and implement efficient distribution strategies.
• Optimize the supply chain process for improved efficiency.
• Analyze and report on logistics performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Responsible for shipment and delivery arrangement.
• Responsible for full set import/export document preparation.
• Responsible for shipment from origin country until to destination warehouse.
• Propose innovative ways to improve service and costs from both technological and process improvements.
• To follow up the shipping processes documents, controls of freight payment, audit system and ensure all document, processes and controls are updated.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time or as and when required.
