Job summary

Gemilang Coachwork Sdn. Bhd. invites applications for a Warehouse Assistant Manager in Kulai, Johor.

You will oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and delivery arrangements, while leading a small team to maintain high productivity. Requirements include at least 2 years in warehouse, inventory or material management, a relevant certificate/diploma/degree, and proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin to communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Warehouse / Inventory / Material Management.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin for effective communication.
• Strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant Manager to oversee our warehouse operations, inventory control and team performance.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and delivery arrangements.

Manage inventory movement and ensure accurate stock records and stock control.

Conduct stock checking, cycle counts and annual stock take.

Investigate stock discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.

Supervise warehouse assistants/executive and manage daily task allocation.

Ensure proper handling and storage of materials, parts and finished goods.

Coordinate loading and unloading activities with the logistics team.

Ensure warehouse safety, cleanliness and operational efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse processes and productivity.

Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Warehouse / Inventory / Material Management.

Certificate / Diploma / Degree or equivalent

Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin (to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking customers.)

Strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills

Able to manage and motivate a warehouse team

Responsible, proactive and organized

Forklift experience / license will be an added advantage
