Job summary

PICKLES ASIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Senior Warehouse Assistant in Kuching to manage warehousing, forklift operations and vehicle movement with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires at least 5 years in warehousing/logistics, a valid forklift license, and strong knowledge of warehouse procedures. You will work independently and with the team, including overtime as needed, to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift competency certificate or licence.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant warehouse/logistics experience.
• Proven forklift operation experience and safety focus.
• Good knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Advantage: knowledge of automotive.
• Able to read and understand basic warehouse documentation.
• Able to communicate via email.
• Able to use Microsoft Office.
• Health and safety awareness in the workplace.
• Physically able to perform manual handling tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends or public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support daily warehouse activities including vehicle receiving and inspection.
• Operate forklift safely for loading/unloading and moving vehicles.
• Conduct daily pre-use forklift inspections and report defects.
• Check vehicles against documents for incoming/outgoing goods.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of vehicles.
• Maintain records and report discrepancies in vehicles received/released.
• Adhere to safety regulations and SOPs at all times.
• Report deterioration or discrepancies involving assets/vehicles.
• Assist with warehouse housekeeping and maintain clean, safe areas.
• Collaborate with logistics to optimize workflow and efficiency.
• Perform basic forklift care and keep equipment in good condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Company.

Senior Warehouse Assistant with Forklift Driving skills

We are looking to hire a full-time Senior Warehouse Assistant with Forklift Driving skills and experience, to be based at our Kuching yard. As for this role, you will play a crucial role in our warehousing and distribution operations, vehicle inspection, ensuring the efficient and safe movement and store of goods.

Key Responsibilities

• To support daily warehouse activities, including Vehicle receiving, conduct on time Vehicle Inspection, Store Vehicle in dedicate storage zone.
• To operate the forklift safely for the vehicle movement, such as loading the sold vehicles to tow trucks, unloading incoming vehicles from tow truck, moving the vehicles to storage zone.
• To conduct daily pre-use inspections of the forklift and immediately report any defects, damage or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• To ensure all incoming and outgoing vehicles are checked against the relevant documents.
• To ensure vehicles are properly handled, positioned, stacked and stored to prevent damage or loss.
• To maintain accurate records and report any discrepancies relating to vehicles received and released.
• To comply with all safety regulations, warehouse procedures and Company SOPs at all times.
• To immediately report any deterioration, damage or discrepancy involving company assets and vehicles to the supervisor.
• To assist with warehouse housekeeping and ensure work areas are kept clean, organised and safe.
• To collaborate with the logistics and warehouse team to optimise workflow and operational efficiency.
• To perform basic daily care and housekeeping of the forklift and ensure the equipment is kept in good working condition.
• To perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Company from time to time.

Requirements

• Valid forklift competency certificate or licence.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in warehouse, logistics or distribution operations.
• Proven experience in operating forklift safely and efficiently.
• Good knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Good knowledge of automotive in an advantage.
• Able to read and understand basic warehouse documentation.
• Able to communicate via email correspondence
• Able to use Microsoft Office
• Good awareness of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling, lifting and other warehouse-related activities when required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, punctual, disciplined and safety conscious.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends or public holidays when required by the Company.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and perform other duties as assigned by the Company.
