Job summary

Sintalow Hardware Pte Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our fast-paced facility in Malaysia. The role requires handling inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe, organized warehouse environment.

You will also prepare orders, operate basic equipment, and assist with documentation and stock checks. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of warehouse experience, basic computer skills, and strong teamwork and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Secondary education (SPM or equivalent) is required.
• Basic computer literacy and MS Excel proficiency.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload shipments.
• Check items for damages and defects on inbound and outbound goods.
• Record quantities and types of goods received and dispatched.
• Organise storage locations and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Keep the warehouse clean, safe and well-ordered.
• Prepare and pack orders for shipment.
• Assist with cycle counts and stock checks.
• Maintain delivery orders, goods received notes and packing lists.
• Update inventory records in a timely manner.
• Operate forklifts or related equipment where authorised.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on warehouse equipment.
• Follow safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed by management.

• Receiving and unloading shipments of goods.
• Checking incoming and outgoing items for damages and defects.
• Verifying and recording the quantity and type of goods received and dispatched.
• Organising and storing products in their designated locations within the warehouse.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
• Preparing orders for shipment and packing items securely.
• Assisting with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
• Preparing and maintaining basic warehouse documentation, including delivery orders, goods received notes, packing lists and inventory records.
• Updating inventory records and filing warehouse documents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks (where authorised).
• Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on warehouse equipment.
• Following all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assisting with other warehouse and operational duties as assigned by management.

Profile

Minimum secondary school education (SPM or equivalent).

Minimum 1 year of relevant warehouse or logistics experience.

Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.

Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Responsible, organised and detail-oriented.

Able to perform warehouse duties, including lifting and moving materials.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Experience in handling engineering materials, piping, valves or mechanical equipment will be an added advantage.

Possession of a valid forklift driving licence or certification will be an added advantage.

Willing to work overtime when required to support operational and project requirements.
