CHAO SHAN (TEBRAU CITY) SDN. BHD. is hiring waiters and waitresses for a full-time role in Johor Bahru, Johor.

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Waiters and Waitresses to join our team at CHAO SHAN (TEBRAU CITY) SDN. BHD. in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work in the hospitality and tourism industry, delivering exceptional service to our guests. As a Waiter or Waitress, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable dining experiences and ensuring every guest receives outstanding service from the moment they arrive.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them in accordance with restaurant layout and capacity
• Providing detailed menu information and recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary requirements
• Taking accurate food and beverage orders and communicating them clearly to kitchen and bar staff
• Serving food and drinks promptly and courteously, ensuring items are presented according to restaurant standards
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the dining area and at tables
• Clearing tables efficiently and resetting them for the next service
• Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately
• Addressing guest complaints and concerns with professionalism and seeking resolution promptly
• Collaborating with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow
• Adhering to all food safety and health regulations
• Assisting with general restaurant duties as required, including restocking supplies and setting up for service

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a waiter, waitress or in a similar customer-facing hospitality role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tables and requests simultaneously
• Ability to remain calm, professional and courteous even during busy service periods
• Neat appearance and meticulous attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
• Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from supervisors
• Fluency in English and preferably Mandarin or other local languages. We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.
• Preferred: Certification in food handling or hospitality training
