Job summary

QL Livestock Farming Sdn Bhd is seeking a Veterinary professional to maintain, implement, and monitor flock health programs across our poultry operations. You will collect samples, run tests, and oversee treatments to diagnose and manage diseases while developing vaccination schedules.

The role requires a degree in veterinary science, at least two years of poultry farming experience, and a valid driving license with willingness to travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Veterinarian is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in poultry farming.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
• Strong knowledge in poultry disease diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, implement, and monitor farm flock health programs and performance parameters.
• Compile, monitor, and analyze farm and flock health data and records.
• Initiate audits and conduct routine checks on the health of livestock and environmental factors (lighting, ventilation, housekeeping, feed, water and etc).
• Collect samples, run tests, perform post-mortems, and supervise treatments.
• Investigate illness symptoms and disease, monitor outbreaks, and develop vaccination schedules.

Job description

Maintain, implement, and monitor farm flock health programs, and performance parameters.

Compile, monitor, and analyze farm and flock health data and records.

Initiate audits and conduct routine checks on the health of livestock and environmental-associated factors (lighting, ventilation, housekeeping, feed, water and etc), provide advice to improve production efficiency, and recommend improvement plans.

Collect sample samples, run tests, conduct post-mortem, and perform other required procedures to determine health conditions, and prescribe and oversee medications or treatments.

Investigate and advise on illness symptoms and disease, and monitor and control disease outbreaks.

Develop vaccination schedules for flocks.

Ensure enforcement of biosecurity programme to prevent disease outbreaks, and conduct risk assessment.

Conduct training for farm staff on farm procedures, proper handling, early disease detection, hygiene practices, and new practices.

Ensure the farm meets veterinary regulations and animal welfare standards.

Respond for emergency calls related to flock health and others after working hours and provide appropriate control measures.

Ensure the work environment is safe and workers follow the prescribed guidelines and regulations.

Requirements:

Possess a Degree in Veterinarian
