Job summary

QL Livestock Farming Sdn Bhd in Sarawak, Malaysia seeks a field-based coordinator to oversee farm activities, environment and biosecurity, and respond to poultry health issues. You will collect samples, perform tests, and manage data and reports to support management decisions.

The role includes coordinating audits, liaising with regulators and customers, and ensuring inventory records for drugs and supplements are up to date. Accommodation is provided for outstation staff.

Qualifications

• Possess a degree in Animal Sciences or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in poultry farming.
• Possess own transport.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection on farm activities, environment and biosecurity.
• Respond to poultry health issues including disease, medications and management.
• Collect samples and perform standard tests including post mortem.
• Submit samples for lab tests and upload/compile reports.
• Collect, input and maintain data; prepare timely reports.
• Lead and coordinate internal audits and regulatory interactions.

Job description

Carry out inspection in relation to farm activities, environment and biosecurity against records covering visitor, rodent baiting, environment, boot dipping, medication, body weight, vaccine, brooding, house and production.

Respond to poultry health issue including disease, medications, growth, promotant, and management related to health.

Collect samples and perform standard tests include post mortem based on Company’s standard procedures and practices.

Submit samples for lab test according to schedule, and upload and compile reports.

Collect, input and maintain data; and prepare and submit report timely.

Correlate activities of consulting nutritionist and veterinarians, evaluate their recommendations and advise management of possible courses of actions.

Investigate, record and report non-conformities or abnormalities, make recommendation of corrective action and follow up action plan.

Ensure inventory record for drug, medicine and supplement are updated.

Lead, prepare and conduct internal audit, certification activities and management review.

Act as focal point or liaison with regulators, customers and auditors for audit and visit purposes.
