Job summary

Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, seeks an Assistant Venue Manager to lead our guest-focused team in a vibrant hotel, restaurant and bar environment. You will recruit, mentor and drive the team to deliver memorable experiences with genuine heartfelt care for guests and colleagues.

You will collaborate with chefs and the F&B team to maintain service excellence, manage daily operations, budgets and guest satisfaction, while upholding high standards and a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience managing high-volume hotel venues and restaurant operations.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and adapt to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains records of sales, guest complaints, and equipment in logbooks.
• Manages supply requisitions to maintain par stock.
• Develops staff schedules and ensures adequate coverage.
• Coordinates with Outlet Manager on staffing and labor optimization.
• Supports cost control to achieve sales goals.
• Monitors service flow and guest seating, presents menus.
• Inspects equipment and reports issues.
• Attends F&B meetings and briefings.
• Oversees daily restaurant operations to SOPs and service quality.
• Leads and trains restaurant staff to standard.
• Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of areas and equipment.
• Engages with guests to resolve issues and enhance experience.
• Participates in planning events and projects.
• Represents Outlet Manager in their absence.
