Job summary

Comet Group – Plasma Control Technologies division in Penang is seeking a VC Operator to join a team delivering high- tech components for memory chips and sensors.

You will perform assembly and testing per OMS, identify basic issues to minimize downtime, and maintain clean, safe 5S workplaces while meeting daily production targets. Flexible to rotating shifts and overtime as required to support manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school qualification or technical certification or Diploma.
• Experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to follow work instructions precisely.
• Strong teamwork and communication with cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and teamoriented individual for our division Plasma Control Technologies at the Penangsite as a

VC Operator

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

What You Will Do

• Perform assembly and testing activities in accordance with Operational Method Sheets (OMS), work instructions, and quality standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic process, material, or equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production operations.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations by following 5S principles and performing routine maintenance of test fixtures, tools, and equipment.
• Achieve daily production targets while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives while carrying out additional duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• Minimum secondary school qualification, technical certification, or Diploma, with experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Basic knowledge of assembly, testing, and electronic manufacturing processes, with the ability to accurately follow work instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Production, Engineering, Warehouse, and other support functions.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and quality-focused individual with a strong commitment to safety, attendance, and company standards.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays as required to support manufacturing operations.
