Comet Group in Penang invites a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead NPI transfers from prototype to full-scale production and drive process optimization across mechanical, electrical, and production documentation. You will develop, validate, and implement manufacturing processes and OMS, BOMs, and related docs to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, with 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in NPI.
• Proven experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing with strong knowledge of High-Level Assembly (HLA) and electronics manufacturing processes.
• Hands‑on expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, SPC, Minitab/JMP, and manufacturing process optimization.
• Strong technical skills in SAP, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and project management tools such as JIRA, with experience managing BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills with a proactive, quality‑first mindset and the ability to coach teams and drive continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support global product transfers, capacity planning, tooling and automation improvements, and production readiness.

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

What You Will Do
