Job summary

NEXUSTEST TECHNOLOGY SDN. BHD. is urgently seeking a Commissioning Engineer / Technician to lead setup, debugging, and validation of in-house testing machines, ensuring activities meet schedule and specs.

You will identify issues, document traceability, and collaborate with Product Engineers to resolve problems while maintaining accurate test records and tool upkeep. Ideal candidates have hands-on technical skills, PLC basics, and the ability to read electrical drawings in English/Chinese.

Qualifications

• Malaysian SKM, Diploma or higher in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Mechatronics, Robotics, Industrial Automation or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of electronic products required.
• Familiar with non-standard automation equipment principles; PLC basics required.
• Minimum 2 years in non-standard equipment or optical testing; familiarity with basic test instruments.
• Able to read electrical drawings in English and Chinese.
• Hands-on, proactive, detail-oriented with strong learning ability and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Set up, debug, and validate in-house DIE testing machines.

Urgently Hiring - Commissioning Engineer / Technician

Responsible for setup, debugging, and validation of in-house DIE testing machines, ensuring all activities are completed according to schedule and meet required specifications.

Identify, report, and follow up on issues encountered during testing and validation; collaborate with Product Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve problems, with proper documentation for traceability.

Maintain accurate records of testing and validation activities, including control and management of test versions/configurations.

Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of testing tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Support acceptance and inspection of supplier-assembled equipment; regularly communicate issues with suppliers and drive continuous improvement and long-term tracking.

Job Requirements

At least a Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM), Diploma, or higher in Computer Engineering (Hardware/Software), Electronics, Telecommunications, Mechatronics, Robotics, Industrial Automation, or related fields, with basic knowledge of electronic products.

Familiar with the working principles of non-standard equipment (automation industry), including mechanical transmission and electrical control; understanding of PLC principles is required. Experience in test equipment debugging is an advantage.

Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in non-standard equipment (automation industry) or optical communication testing; familiar with commonly used instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.

Preferably able to read and understand basic technical documents (e.g., electrical drawings) in both Chinese and English.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and responsible, with strong learning ability and analytical problem-solving skills; possesses clear and structured logical thinking.

Hands‑on technical skills are essential.

Able to work overtime when required and handle work pressure; good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills, with strong commitment and sense of responsibility.

Candidates with strong potential will have the opportunity to grow into a Field Application Engineer (FAE) role.
