Job summary

JDTEC PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Electrical and Automation Engineer to lead on-site installation, wiring, and commissioning of non-standard automation equipment at customer sites.

The role requires strong PLC knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and provide hands-on technical support. The candidate should read electrical schematics, use multimeters and oscilloscopes, and communicate effectively in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields.
• 2+ years' experience in non-standard automation commissioning, OR 2+ years in FCT/ICT test system debugging.
• Proficient in at least one mainstream PLC brand, OR familiar with ICT (e.g., Keysight 3070) and FCT principles.
• Able to read electrical schematics, skilled with multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Good English and Mandarin (mandatory).
• Willing to travel, strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Handle installation, wiring, commissioning, and acceptance of non-standard automation equipment at customer sites
• Lead PLC program debugging (Siemens/Mitsubishi/Omron) or setup & maintenance of FCT/ICT test systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, software, and test anomalies quickly to ensure equipment performance
• Prepare commissioning reports, SOPs, and deliver technical training to customers
• Communicate with customers, coordinate internal teams, and ensure timely project delivery

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Automation Engineer specializing in electrical control and system integration for non‑standard automation equipment. This role is responsible for on‑site installation, wiring, commissioning, acceptance, and delivery of non‑standard automation equipment at customer sites, ensuring that equipment performance meets customer technical specifications and quality requirements. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in PLC programming, or be familiar with FCT (Functional Circuit Test) / ICT (In‑Circuit Test) test systems, and be capable of independently performing equipment debugging, fault diagnosis, and on‑site technical support.
