Job summary

BEST GLOBAL LOGISTICS TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to plan and monitor internal linehaul and hub-to-hub activities across Malaysia. You will lead fleet, route scheduling, and vendor management to achieve delivery KPIs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years in transportation leadership, knowledge of West/East Malaysia routes, and Mandarin proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Transportation management and leadership roles, preferably in a fast-paced retail distribution or logistics environment.
• Familiar with West Malaysia / East Malaysia logistics network and road routes.
• Experience managing 3rd-party linehaul vendors.
• Able to handle on-call duties during critical operations.
• Mandarin speaker with professional proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily internal linehaul and hub-to-hub transport activities.
• Manage the fleet of vehicles (owned or outsourced) and internal drivers to ensure optimal deployment.
• Oversee route scheduling to improve turnaround time, reduce cost, and meet delivery KPIs.
• Ensure proper vehicle maintenance schedules and monitor fuel usage and transport efficiency.
• Monitor transport cost and performance KPIs, and initiate improvements where necessary.
• Liaise with sorting centers, operations teams, and external vendors for smooth parcel movement.
• Maintain records of shipment logs, incident reports, and driver performance.
• Ensure compliance with road transport regulations, safety, and company SOPs.
• Handle emergencies such as vehicle breakdowns, route disruptions, and delays.
• Propose and implement cost-saving initiatives and process automation where applicable.

• Prioritize for Mandarin speaker to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients (Professional proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing).
