ICHOR Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a TIG Welder to join the Production Team in Shah Alam, Malaysia. You will perform high-precision TIG welding on stainless steel components, reading drawings and welding procedures to ensure weld integrity and product quality.

The role involves a 12-hour day/night shift with overtime and weekend work, focusing on safety and continuous improvement while supporting manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• SPM qualification or equivalent with relevant welding certification.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Experience with TIG welding on stainless steel in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel components per procedures.
• Read drawings, interpret weld symbols, and prepare joints for welding.
• Set up welding equipment and verify parameters for quality welds.
• Inspect welds visually and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and housekeeping; follow safety rules.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to solve issues.

Job description

We are looking for TIG Welderto join our Production Team in Malaysia, Shah Alam. In this role, you will be performing high-precision TIG welding on stainless steel components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and welding procedures. You will be ensuring weld integrity, product quality, safety compliance, and productivity while supporting manufacturing operations.This is a 12-hour day/night shift with flexibility to support overtime and weekend work when required.

Responsibilities

Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel components, weldments, and assemblies according to approved welding procedures and work instructions.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications.

Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, fitting, alignment, and joint preparation.

Set up and operate TIG welding equipment and ensure correct welding parameters are used.

Produce high-quality welds that meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.

Perform visual inspection of completed welds and identify defects requiring repair or rework.

Carry out weld repairs as required while maintaining product quality requirements.

Use measuring tools and gauges to verify dimensions and weld quality.

Maintain welding equipment and perform routine housekeeping and basic preventive maintenance.

Comply with all safety, health, environmental, and PPE requirements.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, productivity, and reduce welding defects.

Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve welding-related issues.

Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.

Requirements

SPM qualification with passes in BM (Bahasa Malaysia), BI (English) and Sejarah; ORSKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) Level 3 or equivalent.

At least 1 year ofTIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.Valid TIG Welding Certification.

Fresh graduates with relevant welding certificationare welcome to apply.

Experience in high precision welding on stainless steel sheet metal, tubing, and fabricated components.

Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.

Familiarity with welding quality standards and inspection requirements.

Skilled in using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, measuring tapes, and weld gauges.

Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination for precision welding.

Able to commit to a 12-hour day/night shift, including weekends, and support overtime when required.

AWS, ASME, or equivalent welding qualification is preferred.

Experience in precision welding for high-quality industrial products is preferred.
