Job summary

Ichor Systems is expanding its manufacturing team in Singapore and is seeking an Engineering Assistant to support assembly and testing of precision semiconductor equipment. You will work with engineering drawings, build gas panels, and perform leak checks in a cleanroom environment on a 12-hour day/night shift.

We welcome candidates with NITEC or Diploma in Engineering and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience; hands-on training and internships are also considered.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret schematic and mechanical drawings to carry out assembly work accurately.
• Work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment with emphasis on safety and housekeeping.
• Hands-on experience with gas panel or gas box assembly is preferred.
• Willingness to support overtime and weekend work as required.
• Strong quality mindset and teamwork to meet production goals.

We are partnering with our client, Ichor Systems, to support Ichor's expansion and ramp up.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview in Singapore.

Ichor Systems designs, engineers, and manufactures the fluid delivery systems and precision components used in semiconductor and other advanced-technology equipment. Our products include gas and chemical delivery systems, precision-machined and welded components, brazing and surface treatment technologies, and other proprietary products, with a focus on the metal and plastic parts used in gas and chemical systems. More than 3,000 employees work across our sites in the U.S., Mexico, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Ichor is expanding and looking for a hands-on Engineering Assistant to join our manufacturing team in Singapore, supporting the assembly and testing of precision equipment for the semiconductor industry. You will work with engineering drawings, build gas panels, and perform leak checks and functional testing in a cleanroom environment. This is a great opportunity to build your technical skills and gain valuable hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing. This role operates on a 12-hour day/night shift and requires flexibility to support overtime and weekend work when required.

Responsibilities

Perform assembly builds and testing according to specifications, engineering drawings and work instructions.

Support gas panel building from initial pallet assembly and integration through leak checks and functional testing.

Read and interpret schematic and mechanical drawings to carry out assembly work accurately.

Work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment while maintaining good housekeeping and manufacturing discipline.

Work closely with team members to achieve production, quality and delivery targets.

Follow EH&S requirements and take personal responsibility for workplace safety.

Conduct risk assessments for work activities and support corrective and preventive actions.

Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce waste and errors while improving quality, cost and productivity.

Qualifications

NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

At least 1 years of manufacturing, production or operations experience.

Candidates without prior work experience who have relevant engineering training, internship experience, or hands-on technical exposure are encouraged to apply.

Able to read and understand schematic and mechanical drawings.

Able to commit to a 12-hour day/night shift, including weekends, and support overtime when operationally required.

Strong quality, safety and productivity mindset.

Good team player with a hands-on approach to work.

Comfortable working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience in gas box or gas panel assembly within the semiconductor industry is preferred.
