Job summary

Coherent Malaysia seeks a Production Support Professional to assist the process engineer in achieving test yield targets and to maintain and qualify production equipment, tools and fixtures. You will perform calibration, provide technical process support, and drive small improvement projects to boost process performance and efficiency.

• Diploma or higher in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics or Mechanical).
• At least 3 years of experience in a related mass production environment.
• Familiarity with glue volatilization and glue mixing environment is preferred.
• Candidates without appropriate experience may be considered by the hiring manager.
• Good computer literacy and strong communication and reporting skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist the process engineer in achieving test yield targets.
• Maintain and qualify production equipment, tools and fixtures.
• Perform periodic verification and calibration on equipment and tools.
• Provide technical process support to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Execute small improvement projects to enhance process performance and efficiency.
• Pass skill assessments after training for glue weighing, mixing and stirring; master coupling & welding equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Policy and meet customer expectations.
• Be responsible for overall product yields and implement actions to improve yields.
• Monitor reaction plans to improve product yield.
• Handle product documentation and transfer readiness; manage revision changes of documents.
• Perform any other duties as directed by supervisor and ensure Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and housekeeping guidelines.

• Familiar with basic knowledge of glue volatilization and glue mixing environment requirements will be preferred.
• Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.
• With good computer literacy, good communication skill and reporting of information/ data.
